Carolin S. Widenka
Proactively shaping the future of work for the individual, for companies and organizations and for society as a whole – that is what I stand for with my experience, skills and passion.
Based on my professional experience in various positions in DAX- and NYSE-listed corporations of different industries as well as in German Mittelstand and given my activities as a management consultant, I bring a broad range of experience in successfully tackling structural change and restructuring, designing strategies for a people-focused digital transformation and energy transition, and developing future-ready workforces, organizations and ecosystems.
Being driven by a curiosity for people and all kinds of innovation allows me to analyze and structure intangible issues. Moreover, I am experienced in developing both profound and pragmatic strategies by involving all relevant perspectives and stakeholders in order to implement transformation and change jointly and joyfully in a yet entrepreneurial and thoroughly sustainable and efficient way.
As a trained systemic business coach I have accompanied executive managers, employees and teams for many years - based on this broad experience, I like to intuitively figure out how new, innovative approaches can unfold in further cooperations and unleash the capabilities and the potential of the individual.
My interdisciplinary academic background with degrees in European Studies (B.A.), International Cultural and Business Studies (M.A.) and Economic Geography (M.A.) from the University of Passau (Germany) provides a sound basis for my continuing scientific interest in shaping the “future of work” – be it on the individual or organizational level or in the interplay of the effects of demographic and societal trends, digitalization and increasingly globalized labor markets. This has repeatedly resulted in cooperations and projects with academia, too.
Last but not least:
In addition to the above mentioned professional experience, I am particularly interested in the medical and healthcare sector, mainly in view of the demographic challenges of the coming decades, and I engage in voluntary work with the Red Cross.
To discuss, elaborate and rearrange constantly emerging innovative ideas, I enjoy travelling to both familiar and unknown places as well as walking my thoughts in the mountains all seasons of the year.
